Eating healthy foods and eating to a certain satiation level (i.e. only when you're hungry- and not over eating when you are feeling replenished) is a sign of self respect.
But life is also about balance, and sometimes, it is important to occasionally have that cone of Ben and Jerrys. I know I do. I looooove cookie dough ice cream! And why should I pass up on that? Yes, it is important to do so mindfully. So say if you have the Ben and Jerry's pass up on the other thing later.
Don't restrict yourself against the things you crave- but what is great about my blog is that you don't have to restrict yourself at all, because the very satiation you may get from ice cream I have now found to give you the same pleasure- just without the major calories. But of course, sometimes, you just WANT the ben and jerrys in which case I say, dude, go for it. I know i do.
I, you, we, are worth eating healthy, but sometimes, at least in my case, my body needs some gluten free dairy free pizza. (yes, i know, it kinda sucks. But I guess there is a bright side: that staying thin is quite easy for me since it's hard to find anything I can eat.... It's important to look for a bright side when life gives you lemons haha.)
